When I was asked to write a letter of recommendation for Brennen Decker I was delighted. I first met Brennan when he joined the Board of Directors of Hav A Sole, a nonprofit that I’m involved in. For the record, I had never met anyone before that held the vast knowledge of social media, branding and innovation that Brennan does. Brennan is an extremely gifted innovator and highly skilled social media strategist.
In a brief period of time, Brennan was able to evaluate our social media presence, enhance our web site which ultimately has been driving more traffic to our site. Brennan is also a technology genius who is current with personal branding techniques, book launches and is up to date on the marketing flavors of the week.
Along with his many undeniable talents, Brennan has always been an absolute joy to work with. He is a true team player, and always manages to bring the best out of our Board of Directors. I feel very lucky to have him on our team.

It’s rare to find someone that cares so much about other people’s success the way Brennan does. While interning at Finish Line in the summer of 2017, myself and the other interns were tasked with a case competition focused on improving the communication and relationship between the corporate office and stores. I was recommended to reach out to Brennan, a District Sales Manager, to learn more about the current relationship. Throughout the summer I had frequently communication with Brennan, running ideas by him and testing them. From the start, Brennan was a tremendously eager to help, always making time for my team. I could tell that he truly cared about not only helping with the case competition, but about us as individuals. He would call me and say things like “I was thinking about your project last night and this is something that would be well received by store employees” or “Here’s what you need to emphasize in the presentation to knock it out of the park.” Brennan is a tireless worker that has a burning passion for his colleagues and Finish Line as an organization. I feel truly lucky to have worked with him, and I see him as a great mentor. Everyone can learn something from Brennan.

Having had the pleasure of working with Brennan since his promotion to District Manager, he has my full endorsement and recommendation. Brennan has proved to be an asset to his peers and to the entire organization. Having assisted with Brennan’s development as a District Manager, he has demonstrated an incessant eagerness to learn and develop, and is constantly striving for the better way. Brennan has contributed his strong technical knowledge to his peer group and the entire company, and has contributed to improving many of the operational analysis tools used by his peer group. Brennan’s passion for growth and improvement have led him down a successful path of constant progression in his role, and his future is bright. Brennan is the mold for what a great leader is. His ability to see the potential in others is only shadowed he his own work ethic and pride. I have had the opportunity to be mentored by Brennan and I am thankful for the confidence he helped instill in myself. His demeanor when having tough conversations was always uplifting and motivating rather than degrading and judgmental. He built relationships with his team and knew how to inspire everyone differently. To make each individual feel like a contributing member. Through our time together I have watched him reflect on himself to be the best he can leader he can for his team.
